School infrastructure is the backbone of the school
The school facility is responsive to the programs of educational delivery, and provides a physical environment that is comfortable, safe, secure, accessible, well illuminated, well ventilated, and aesthetically pleasing. The school facility consists of excellent physical structure which is much more than a passive container of the educational process: it is, rather, an integral component of the conditions of learning.
The school has excellent infrastructure which provides a conducive atmosphere to teaching-learning. The infrastructure supports not just academic improvement but also in pupils progressing to a positive sustained destination as we are an institution with a ‘can do’ culture.
The school ambience projects a positive image with the newly renovated staff rooms on all floors. The school possesses 90 smart classrooms which are well ventilated with comfortable furniture. The UNESCO School Library manifesto states “The school library provides information and ideas that are fundamental to functioning successfully in today’s information and knowledge-based society”. Adhering to this idea, DAV Public School, Sreshtha Vihar has two excellent libraries - one in the Main wing and the other in the Nursery wing. Both the libraries have books and facilities that offer higher levels of literacy, reading, learning, problem-solving and information and communication technology skills. An auditorium to seat 500, a multimedia room which can seat 200 and a conference room with a capacity of 80 are the other infrastructure facilities of the school.
Laboratory teaching gives first-hand experience in observation and manipulation of the materials of science which help in developing understanding and appreciation of Science. The state-of-the-art Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Integrated, Fashion Technology, Food Technology, Robotics, Mathematics and Bio-Technology laboratories in the school help in developing skills necessary for more advanced study or research.
The school now has added another feather in the infrastructure in the form of a Yoga and Meditation Centre. The school now boasts of new classroom furniture, new display boards and Value based Posters.
