INDO JAPANESE STUDENTS CONNECT 2024

On November 5, 2024, DAV Public School Sreshtha Vihar warmly welcomed 104 Japanese students and faculty from Nishiyamato Gakuen Junior High School & High School, Nara, Japan, marking the ninth year of their partnership. This significant event highlighted the ongoing commitment to fostering international camaraderie and mutual understanding between the two nations. During the welcome ceremony, Principal Ms. Suhasini K Nath delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange in strengthening the historic bond between Japan and India. She highlighted shared values of harmony, cooperation, and mutual respect, praising the exchange program as a testament to their shared commitment to education, cultural diversity, and global citizenship. The cultural program featured captivating performances, including yoga and fusion classical dance by Indian students, an engaging quiz on Japan and India, and a beautiful light dance by Japanese students. The day culminated in a vibrant carnival, 'Melange: A Celebration of Indian Art & Culture,' showcasing Indian art, music, dance, mathematics, and indigenous games. Indian and Japanese students bonded over folk dances, creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere. The exchange program celebrated friendship, shared learning, and culture, fostering lasting relationships and global citizenship. The principals exchanged souvenirs, symbolizing the lasting bond between their institutions. As a token of appreciation, mementos were given to the Japanese students, marking the end of an enriching and transformative experience for all.
