Laughter is contagious (World Laughter Day)

Students of Classes III to V participated enthusiastically in activities based on the theme *“Laughter is Contagious.”* The celebration aimed to spread happiness, positivity, and togetherness through joyful activities. Class III students performed the Happiness Ambassador Act through silent funny expressions and actions, Class IV students enjoyed the Chutkula Chain by sharing humorous jokes, and Class V students participated in Laughter Meditation to experience relaxation and positive energy through laughter exercises. The activities filled the school environment with smiles, joy, and cheerful memories.
Class I Orientation Programme

The Orientation Programme for Class 1 was successfully conducted with active parent participation. The session began with the Gayatri Mantra, followed by the Principal Ms. Suhasini K Nath's address highlighting academic achievements and school programmes. A welcome song by Grade II students added a pleasant touch.
The Supervisor , Ms. Preeti Bhatnagar emphasized parent-teacher collaboration and introduced the Mother Teachers. Key guidelines on school policies were shared, along with an informative session by the Special Educator. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks and DAV Gaan.
During the Curriculum Meet, teachers briefed parents about the academic plan, classroom activities, and school routines. Interactive activities and simple home learning aids were also demonstrated.
The session ended with positive feedback from parents.
Mission Impossible – Teamwork

The theme Mission Impossible – Teamwork was brought to life through a series of collaborative and engaging activities for Classes III to V. Class III students participated in a Save the Resources Campaign, working in groups to create posters, craft slogans, and present ideas on saving water, electricity, and food. Class IV students built trust and coordination through the interactive Human Knot Game, while Class V students expressed their environmental awareness by performing skits in the Eco Warrior Challenge. These activities highlighted the importance of teamwork, creativity, and shared responsibility towards a better environment.
Class III Orientation Programme

DAV Public School, Sreshtha Vihar organised an Orientation Programme for Class III parents to foster a strong school–parent partnership for the academic session. The programme began with the Gayatri Mantra, followed by insightful addresses by the Principal and Primary Supervisor, highlighting the school’s vision, NEP 2020 focus, and the importance of independent learning. Engaging student performances, including Stranger is Danger and Mind vs Mobile, showcased key values and concerns, while a display of creative work reflected experiential learning. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, the DAV Gaan, and a Meet the Class Teacher session, strengthening collaboration for students’ holistic development.
English Language Day – Celebrating a Language Without Borders

Students of Classes I to V celebrated English Language Day with great excitement through a variety of interactive activities. Class I participated in a fun “Position Quest,” learning positional words by following simple instructions, while Class II enjoyed the “Toy Ring” activity, helping them build vocabulary and form sentences in an engaging way. Class III students recited and enacted poems with confidence and expression, Class IV showcased creativity through a lively Character Parade, and Class V presented their favourite books during a Book Promotion session. The celebration made learning enjoyable and enhanced students’ confidence, creativity, and communication skills in English.
Health for All – World Health Day
World Health Day was celebrated by Classes III to V with engaging activities promoting healthy living. Class III students made My Healthy Promise posters and practiced yoga, Class IV listed healthy habits to follow and avoid, while Class V participated in warm-up, relaxation, and mindfulness sessions. The celebration encouraged students to adopt a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Earth Day – Nurture Our Planet
Earth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by students of Classes I to V through a variety of creative and meaningful activities. Class I students enjoyed a colorful Dot Art Activity, expressing their love for the planet, while Class II designed attractive eco-friendly Earth-themed headgears decorated with drawings and messages promoting environmental protection. Class III created Recycled Earth Badges, Class IV expressed their commitment through an Earth Day Pledge Tree, and Class V showcased creativity in a Best Out of Waste activity by making useful items like shopping bags, pencil holders, bird feeders, and flower pots using recycled materials. These engaging activities helped students understand the importance of keeping the environment clean and green, encouraging creativity, awareness, and responsible habits towards nurturing our planet.
