DISASTER MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

DAV Public School, Sreshtha Vihar, organised a Disaster Management Workshop for students of class VII, in collaboration with NDRF on 23 November, 2023. The program commenced with felicitation of the NDRF team by the Vice Principal,Ms Poonam Gera and the senior supervisor, Ms Sangeeta Biswas. The students were highly motivated and excited to meet the heroes of the nation, who fearlessly face adverse circumstances and save thousands of lives. The NDRF team interacted with students and demonstrated ways to deal with natural calamities like floods and earthquake. They demonstrated some immensely useful hacks for bleeding control during an injury, handling fracture, building a stretcher from available resources, preparing a life jacket using empty plastic bottles during floods, and so on. They also instructed the students about the importance of first aid, as well as giving CPR, if needed.

It was a very informative and captivating session for the students as they learnt many techniques to manage adversities and to save themselves as well as others
