On 2nd April, the world celebrates Autism awareness day. On this occasion with guidance of our esteemed principal, Mrs. Suhasini K. Nath, our school's inclusive mental health club , 'The Empath Club' organized a meaningful activity to foster inclusion, understanding, acceptance and awareness amongst the students. In the morning assembly students delivered insightful speeches, aiming to instill understanding and empathy in the young minds. Our school counselor, Dr. Shabana also addressed the students, offering valuable information and encouraging sensitivity and consideration towards neuro-divergent individuals. Our committed volunteers prepared and distributed blue ribbon batches to the teachers and staff members as a gesture of support and solidarity towards autistic individuals. All the students in each class were also spoken about the syndrome and were sensitized towards their needs. The goal was to ,"Celebrate inclusion, embrace diversity and spread empathy and kindness". Through this initiative we took an impactful step towards creating a more inclusive school environment, where everyone feels seen, understood and respected.
