Training session on POCSO Act-2012

 

DAV Sreshtha Vihar organized a session on POCSO ACT 2012 and CSA (Child Sexual Abuse) for our staff, so that they are empowered in identifying and handling abuse and help students. Our school not only takes all appropriate measures to keep our students safe but also to help them deal with all difficulties coming to them in life.

The session was taken by Mr. Kunal Sharma from Concept of Living Organisation, in association with Dr. Shabana, the School Counsellor. Teachers were empowered with skills to assess and help children to open up and share about their abuse, if any. Signs and symptoms of abuse were also discussed. Related facts were used to orient about the severity of the concern. Legalities related to act and our responsibility as school and as teacher were also discussed in detail.
